Report from the Fishbowl

Posted by Sean on October 31, 2007

I greatly enjoy swimming around in the New Media Fishbowl and have begun to make acquaintance of some wonderful people  all over the world who have podcasts of their own.  Recently I have been mentioned or been a guest on a slew of Catholic podcasts, so I thought I would share the link love.

A couple of weeks ago I was a guest on the Skypecast, Life on Fire, with Chris and Tanya, and they mentioned me again in their most recent episode. Fellow Canadians, John and Amber in Calgary mentioned me in their wonderful  Monster Cookies podcast.

Over the past couple months I have been getting to know Rob Williams of the Tupelo Geek and Tupelo Catholic podcasts, and he has promoted my podcast on his show.  Earlier this week, he interviewed me about my faith journey for his special edition Catholic Faith Journeys on the Tupelo Catholic  podcast. You can listen to the interview (all 66 minutes of it) here.  Thanks again Rob for asking me to share my story.

I’m an Internet Visionary

Posted by Sean on October 28, 2007

I am an Internet Visionary. Three weeks ago I posted LOLephants, with lolcat captions on pictures of me. It included this picture of me running? from a T-Rex.

The first LOLsaur

This weekend at Podcamp Boston, a bunch of people had a crazy idea about LOLCats with dinosaurs. Before the end of the conference, Nico Pin had developed a website design, they had registered the domain and lolsaur.com was born.
I think it’s so cool that I had a similar idea three weeks earlier. Way to go guys. Over at ductapeguy.net I was doing remote coverage of Podcamp Boston via skype and cell phones. I was able to talk to Nico about and his impressions of Podcamp. Link

Bill handed the phone to Nico at this point.

LOLephants

Posted by Sean on October 9, 2007

Yesterday, our family went to the Toronto Zoo. It was over 30 degrees on the 8th of October. What’s up with that. I got quite shutterbuggy and took almost 300 pictures. On the way home, I got a great idea , LOLephants!  I added LOL captions to some of my favorite pictures from the trip. Enjoy.
