Today I had a lovely chat with Susan Bailey, a Catholic musician and the brains, brawn and beauty behind GrapeVine Online, a podcast, blog and print magazine about Catholic Music and Catholic musicians. She has an interesting perspective on Lent because her husband is a Melkite Catholic and is studying to be a deacon, so her family celebrates their Catholic faith in both the Latin and the Melkite rites. I’ve only been listening to the Grapevine News Minute podcast for a few months, but Susan does a great job of featuring Catholic musicians and events with her weekly show. We end the interview with Susan singing her arrangement of Schubert’s Ave Maria.
