dayofreflection

Lent is a time for Catholics to pray and reflect upon our faith.  It is a time to seek out the quiet of the desert wherever we are and take time listen to God through prayer and the scriptures.  On March 28, catholicroundup.com will be hosting an online day of prayer and reflection for bloggers, podcasters and indeed all Catholics who seek to enrich their faith using new media tools.  Please join us for a  Catholic Roundup Online Lenten Day of Reflection on March 28 from 8:30 am EST to 4:00pm EST. You will be able to find the live feed on our Catholic Roundup TV page or directly on Ustream.  For audience participation in  some of the discussions, we may also up a simultaneous call on Talkshoe which we will patch into the ustream feed.

We begin the Day with Morning Prayer at 8:30 am EST. The day will be structured with several times for prayer using different forms of prayer interspersed with talks and reflections by a number of people. Deacon Tom Fox and Bryan
Murdaugh
have both consented to speak through the magic of the intertubes. Some friends may be sharing from our home studio as well.

Through the day we will pray the Liturgy of the Hours, the Stations of the Cross, the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary, and have time for prayerful reflection on the Sunday Mass Readings.

We will also have time during the day for some open discussions on how Catholics are using the tools of new media to enrich their faith lives and to share the Good News.

The online portion of our day of reflection will conclude at 4:00 pm EST. This is so the participants at our house can get to confession and 5:00 EST mass. We encourage anybody joining us online to try to get to mass as a part of their day of reflection as well.

We look forward to meeting you online on March 28 as we set aside some time for prayer during the Lenten Season.
