Owen Swain is a former protestant minister of nearly 20 years who converted to the Catholic Church along with his entire family and was received in January of 2006. Currently he serves as a part time adult catechist in a local parish and continues to pursue his art. His blogofo shows his sketchbook art and links to his paintings and other art. As well Owen also operates a site for prayer for the holy souls in Purgatory, as site to which you may add the name of your deceased as he and his family promise to pray daily between November 25th and December 25th this year. It is said that Our Lady, through her intercession, sees many souls delivered from Purgatory to Heaven especially on Christmas Day.

Most recently Owen began a daily comic diary Drawn To Catholicism which, as he says, isn’t comic as in always ROTFLOL funny but it is always illustrated and he hopes his drawings and slice of life vignettes serve as a gentle inspiration to others as we life this Christian life in the light of the one, holy, catholic and apostolic church.
